My life started with a very stable childhood in suburban North London, I was born upstairs in the house I left from to go to University! I became a Chartered Building Services Engineer and soon realised I could achieve more as an effective leader than through my own endeavours. Leadership became one of my passions. I emigrated to Sydney in 2007 and went on to become a senior leader in two leading global consulting engineering firms: Arup and Mott MacDonald. In 2023 I gave up full time employment to pursue other interests, notably travel, following sport and often travelling to follow sport.  My wife Tracy and I own an apartment in Mosman and a caravan park in Gilgandra, NSW. We travel extensively overseas and in our motorhome when in Australia.

Writing has always been a part of my work. I have written extensively on social media, blogs and in published articles. My retirement from Consulting Engineering has given me the time to pursue a second career as a freelance writer.
